This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced ECE leader with a genuine heart for tamariki, whānau and community and a passion for Christian education. We are seeking a Centre Manager to lead our small, community-oriented early learning centre with a strong Christian special character.
Our centre warmly welcomes children and whānau from all backgrounds. The Centre Manager’s role is to uphold and model the Christian ethos that underpins our values, relationships and learning environment.
You will:
Provide overall leadership of the centre’s vision, culture and daily operations
Lead and support a teaching team to deliver high-quality learning aligned with Te Whāriki
Ensure full compliance with MOE licensing, regulations and Health & Safety requirements
Build strong, trusting relationships with whānau, staff, Board/Trustees and our church/community
Oversee enrolments, occupancy, budgets and centre administration
Actively nurture and model the Christian ethos of the centre in daily life and practice
You will bring:
Proven leadership experience in an ECE or school setting
ECE qualification and NZ Teacher Registration (or similar, strongly preferred)
Strong understanding of ECE regulations and best practice
A personal Christian faith and a pastoral, servant-hearted approach to leadership
Excellent people skills, resilience and sound judgement
