Kia Ora
I have been involved with CECEAA for eleven years as an Executive member and five years as the National Coordinator. I am currently the licencee for Spraydon Baptist Early Learning Centres along side being Community Ministries Pastor for Spreydon Baptist Church.

I'm passionate about seeing Christian Early Childhood Education services be professional, dynamic and continue to adapt to our changing society as they provide high quality education and care. To see these services honour God, reflect our different cultures and have a highly favourable reputation in the community which will attract families to the services and the God they serve.

Tēna koutou katoa. I come from an Irish family and married Haami, (Sam) so our 4 fantastic tamariki are Maorish! We have 3 sons and a daughter and 7 mokopuna.

I have worked in all education sectors since 1971. In 2006 our beautiful Awhi Whanau ECC opened and I currently manage it. I am passionate about education, especially Maori education and am committed to excellence at every level so that our tamariki/mokopuna can develop through all that God provides.

I believe that CECEAA offers an opportunity for teachers to be encouraged and challenged, refreshed and motivated as Christians in a variety of settings.

Kia Ora, In 2004 I moved from the Mainland (Christchurch) to the northern garden city of Wanganui. It was a change of location; change of marital status (married Tony) and a change of employment! I rediscovered my passion of Early Childhood and in particular homebased education! This was my preschool experience ???as I was brought up on a farm with a Kindergarten Teacher Mum!

November 2005 saw the birth of my ‘baby??????PAUA Early Childhood Homebased Care Service. My passion for providing provision in rural areas has mean that PAUA (Preschoolers At-home Uniquely Achieving) has grown throughout the Central North Island. I joined the CECEAA Executive in 2007 to be a voice for Home-based Early Childhood Education and also as a owner of a private service.

I am the manager of the Ashburton Baptist Church Community Trust Board, which has two early childhood centres in Ashburton. I came on to the CECEAA Executive in May 2008. Working with young children is my passion. I am grateful to God for calling me to use this passion in His ministry. I like to support and encourage other early childhood teachers and being on the Executive of CECEAA is one way of doing this and giving back to a sector that has given me so much

Dip.Tchg (ECE)

Kia Ora. Ko Ngati Rangi te iwi, , No Ohakune au, ko Cindy Hammond toku ingoa, Hi there, my name is Cindy Hammond. I am originally from Ohakune and I am of Ngati Rangi decent. For over 10 years I have been involved in Early Childhood Education as a teacher, supervisor, manager and professional development facilitator with Massey University, Palmerston North.

I have strong interest and skills in Teacher Registration processes, Management and Governance, and Teaching and Learning. Being a part of CECEAA is very exciting. We have a number of Christian Early Childhood Centres in Aotearoa and we want them to be 'lights' in their communities. We also have many Christian Early Childhood Educators who work in mainstream services. You have a particularly special role to play and I want to see how CECEAA can work for you.

Dip.Tchg (ECE)

Kia ora and talofa lava. I claim links to Ngati Ruanui through my mother, England through my father and Samoa, through my husband and children. My husband Peter and I have two adult children, Chris who is married to Kate, and Sarah. We have one grandchild. I graduated Dip Tch EC in 1976 from Auckland Teachers College and taught for almost all of those, MANY years in between, in low decile, high Maori/Pasifika communities within the state sector. In 2001 I became assistant supervisor at Kiddy Winks Kindy in Manurewa and I have been supervisor since 2007.

I have been involved with advice and guidance for registering teachers since 1999. As christian educators we must take evey opportunity to share the awesome provision God has for us. To this end, I believe that CECEAA has a huge part to play in supporting christian centres and teachers to provide opportunities in "building" strong, healthy, confident, spiritually alive children. My time on the CECEAA executive will hopefully be spent helping aspirations bear fruit.
